Gold Remodelling

Recycling & Remodelling

Remodelling is a powerful way to honour the past while creating something that feels like you.

Family wedding rings, inherited pieces, jewellery that no longer feels aligned — these can be carefully melted and transformed into new wedding bands or contemporary heirlooms, carrying their history forward in a new form.

Clearly marked yellow gold (9ct, 14ct, 18ct etc.) can often be refined and reused, pending assessment. If there is not enough gold to achieve the desired design, additional metal may be required to ensure correct proportions and long-term durability.

Remodelling begins at $750 for a simple band using your existing metal, with no additional gold required and no gemstones set.

Creating bespoke jewellery through recycling is a layered and personal process — one that balances sentiment, design and craftsmanship with care.

Investment Considerations

Each piece is unique, and the final investment reflects that individuality. Pricing is influenced by:

  • The complexity of the design
  • Stone setting requirements and style
  • The type and size of gemstones
  • The condition and quantity of supplied metal
  • Additional materials required (extra gold, gemstones, findings)
  • The final weight of the piece
  • Time spent carefully deconstructing original jewellery
  • Any design or gemstone changes throughout the process

Following consultation, a detailed quote is provided based on the agreed design and materials.

The Process

From carving in wax, to melting and refining heirloom gold, to forging, filing, stone setting and final polish — each stage is approached with intention and care.

Remodelling is never just melting and reshaping. It is preserving memory. It is carrying love forward. It is allowing something old to become something beautifully, vibrantly new.
